HERE COMES THE WHIRLWIND!

SORRY I FORGOT TO PUT THIS UP. Also old art alert. This is back from when Chloemew wanted to see my Hornet Man design because I said ours were similar. I have a much earlier draft of my Hornet’s design in a set of headshots on my art blog sometime back, but I didn’t really like the quality enough to repost, and he went through some hair length experimentation between then and now, anyway. I found an old sketch from last year (when my facial anatomy was still… doing things I could not explain in words) that I slapped some really lazy colors on to show you. They’re not exactly the same upon further inspection, but they’re still close enough for me to think it’s neat-o. c:

I really like the darker skin on him, I think yours and mine are the only ones I’ve seen with it. And now I really want to draw him again. He’s such a sweetie.

OoC: might as well repost this here, too. :B

Hey, ‘Netty, have you always had those freckles?

Do you have a phobia?

… I happen to have thanatophobia and taphophobia. Don’t laugh; I had very bad experiences….

Time Man was relaxing on the couch, quietly reading a book. Of course, his two ninth-gen brothers had to walk in and interrupt his leisure time. Tornado mostly, with his loud exclamation. Time wanted partially to just move to his room and continue reading there, but he did need to spend more time with his siblings…sighing, he closed his book and set it aside on the end table, looking at Plug and Tornado.

“I suppose I have time for ‘hanging out…’”

"Great, glad to hear that, Time!", Plug Man cheerfully chirped with a wide smile on his face, the same kind of smile that could be found on a nerdy guy if he were to asked out on a date by a cheerleader for the first time (although such a theory would be HIGHLY unlikely to happen in real life). "You see, Time Man, I just came back from Akihabara with a boatload of cosplay outfits and, after going through each and every single outfit, I was wondering if you wanted to try cosplaying as a different character!", he then explained afterwards, not wanting Time Man to miss out on one of is brother’s favorite hobbies.

“Great! So~, what should we do?”

So it looks like Plug Man got back from another trip to Akihabara. Wait. He bought costumes? For cosplay?! And did he just forget Tornado Man?

“What costumes are there, Pluggy? Uniforms? Evening clothes? I’m up for trying them on. Heck, I’ll even wear the girls’ costumes! You’d better not leave me out, man! How about it, Timey?”

whirlwind-tornadey said: Oh, I see. So have you lived in Europe?

Not necessarily. I have visited a few times, and have spent up to six months there on occasion. But my Master enjoys his home here, rather than the old country. He claims the old country has been brought to ruins and the only thing it’s good for now is the scenery. When my Master returns though, I do hope we shall return for another visit.  Monsteropolis, on the other hand, has been my place of residence since the beginning. Because it is Master’s home, thus it is mine too.

I see. I’d like to travel overseas one day. Say, what country is he from? Great Britain?

Cosplay Shenanigans

plug-electric:

Plug Man came back from another shopping spree in Akihabara, his number one favorite place to shop and converse with his fellow geeky friends in the entire world. However, this time was different, as he had several materials needed to make cosplay outfits for any upcoming anime conventions he would be saving his money he would earn at his job.

“Alright, so that’s all the costumes I got from those stores there earlier.”, Plug Man said to himself while inspecting each costume carefully, checking for any flaws that might be there. “Come to think of it, I wonder if the others would like to try cosplaying as different characters…”, he then thought to himself while scratching his chin with his hand.

Tornado Man also got back from shopping, only it was for groceries. And after putting all the food away, he ran upstairs shouting.

"Hey, I’m bored! Does anyone wanna hang out~?!"

At the moment, he didn’t care if he was disturbing his family. He wanted his brothers around right now.

? You trailed off. What about Fire and Elec? And you didn’t make mention of Rock or Roll either.

… Oh yeah. Rock’s still here, too, but I haven’t seen Roll yet, for some odd reason. I wonder if I keep missing her. I do see Blues from time to time. Still yet to see Auto as well as Eddie, Beat, and Tango. And Pops… is busy again. *sigh*

Well, about Big Bros Fire and ‘Leccy… I think they’re working again. Even though it shouldn’t be any different from others… I just… I have a problem, I guess.

So far, the only other Light numbers I’ve communicated with are Tornado Man and Concrete Man…I wonder where my other siblings are…

Eh, they could be busy. I’ve gotten used to it though….But Pluggy, Big Bro Jewelie, and ‘Netty are definitely around.

You know, I miss playing with Cutty and Icey. Big Bro Gutsy’s probably as busy as or maybe busier than Big Bro Cretey. I haven’t seen Big Bro Bomb, Oily, Big Bro Magma, Galaxy, and Splashy in a while. As for Big Bros Fire and Elecky….

Catena Wall Clock by Andreas Dober

Hum…what a simplistic but interesting design for a clock….certainly unorthodox…

Ooh! I wonder how this clock works. For a moment, I thought it was a small school bell or something like that.

I did some research, and it seems to be made using a bicycle chain that rotates around a motorized gear, with the copper numbers representing the hours of the day. Determining minutes with this clock appears to be more difficult though, as I doubt they would have modified the chain to have exactly five links between each copper number…doesn’t look like it, from the photograph…still, a very interesting concept for a clock.

A bike chain? Really? People these days sure get creative. I wonder what other clock concepts we’ll see~.
